Abandoned fishing nets (also known as “ghost gear”) make up ten percent of all ocean pollution. They’re a major threat to marine ecosystems and marine life, including turtles, fish, seabirds, seals, and whales.
Axiom is proud to be an official partner of the Global Ghost Gear Initiative (GGGI). A subsidiary of Ocean Conservancy, the GGGI is an alliance that’s committed to creating solutions to the problem of lost, abandoned, and discarded fishing gear worldwide.
Axiom was one of the inaugural private enterprise members of the organization to lead the charge as other major companies (Nestle, Aldi, Tesco) and governments (Canada, USA, UK) join the fight for our oceans and the planet.

Our strict material standards mean we don’t require a California Prop 65 statement on our products, since we’ve eliminated all the California Prop 65 chemicals from our products. The California Prop 65 program is administered by the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment and requires manufacturers to notify customers if their products contain any of the 921 chemicals included in the Prop 65 listing, believed by the State of California to cause cancer or reproductive harm.
All elements of Axiom products, including fabric, plastics, metal, fixtures, paint, and coatings have been tested and comply.
A framework for ethical practices, fair treatment, and positive community impact.
Axiom embraces ISO 26000 as a guide for social responsibility across our values, practices, and operations. This standard provides practical guidance on human rights, labour practices, environmental stewardship, fair business conduct, consumer care, and community engagement — helping us weave these principles into every product and every decision we make.
