As a Vancouver, BC, based company, our team knows a little something about riding in wet weather. Whether training in summer rain or commuting year round, fenders are a key component of our riding kit!
The folks over at Road.cc recently tested a set of our 2014 Roadrunner LX Reflex, part of our lineup of full coverage fenders.
“Overall performance is excellent with little evidence of overspray along fork blades, chainstays and bottom bracket shell-even during torrential storms. Similarly, extended mud-flaps diffuse really wet roads, so riding companions have nothing to moan about. Stainless steel stays and hardware are premium grade,
the sort that sniggers at salty slush.” – road.cc
Roadrunners are constructed from our virtually unbreakable Techniflex body, and have durable stainless steel stays for a rattle-free ride. They are available in a variety of sizes, including road (700c x 18-28mm), Trekk (700c x 28-45mm), MTB (26” x 1.5 -2.2”), and 29er (29” x 1.5 – 2.2”). MSRP $40 CAD.
For increased visibility, check out the roadrunner’s big brother – the Rainrunner 360 Reflex, which offer 360 degrees of nighttime reflectivity with 3M side panels. The Rainrunners also come with Axiom’s proprietary Axle Runners to allow installation on bikes without eyelets. Available in Trekk (700c x 40mm) and MTB (26” x 50mm) sizes. MSRP $65 CAD.
